How did you start playing pool?

When I was 17 I drove a friend to a Narcotics Anonymous meeting and the only thing to do while she was there was to play pool. A guy behind the counter said I had a good eye and taught me some stuff. I started playing 9-ball for quarters against a biker group called The 5th Chapter and they taught me the rest..... Gene Birkland and Kimberly Kirk have kept me growing in the sport.
Do you have any advice for beginners?

Believe. If you think it..... you do it. And as Kimberly says... " Just make the ball..."
